Pokhara
Pokhara is the most beautiful and panoramic city of Nepal. It is the most favorite tourist town which provides extraordinary scenic views of Annapurna mountain range and the point to begin your Annapurna trekking. Pokhara is also the best place to take rest after completing your trekking to Annapurna. There are hundreds of restaurants, pubs and cafes around the lakeside where you can spend your leisure time with delicious food of your choice. Located at 780 meters from sea level Pokhara can be hotter from April to September. But still there is choice of Sarangkot a nearby destination which can cool you off throught out the year. You can also visit nearby place of town to see the Nepalese city life such as Bagar, Mahendra Pul, Rambazar, Baidam, Amarshing Chowk, Sahid Chowk and so on. Pokhara is also considered as the most neat city of Nepal.
What to do in Pokhara?
Hire a mountain bike or motor bike and ride to the top of Sarangkot or work to Mahandra Cave / Go for a swim or hire a boat on Fewa Taal, or you can go to visit Begnas Lake. You can walk to Chhorepatan and visit the incredible Davi’s Fall. Simply you can hire a boat in Fewa lake for some hours and start paddling around the lake. You can also go for a small hiking to the places like Peace Pagoda, Sarangkot, Ghandruk or Dhampus. Pokhara Museam, Bat Cave, Mahendra Cave, Gupteshwor Cave, Davis fall are other places to hangout. You can also make a day trip to Rupa lake. If you want to visit temples you can go to the famous Tal Barahi (On the Island of Fewa Lake), Bindabasini temple, Kalikasthan or Bhadrakali Mandir. If you like have the topographical view of Pokhara City you can just go to either Peace Pagoda or the Sharangkot. View of Mount Macchapuchre (Fishtail Mountail) looks perfect from Sarangkot in a sunny day. If you like to listen live music you will find the Pub or Restaurants with live music performance by local artists. You can also watch your favorite sport’s live action in the most of the restaurants in Lakeside.
