Although March and April are better trekking months, this month will be good for the spring trekking in the higher region. High pass trekking such as the Thorung-la of the Annapurna  and Laurabina pass of the Langang -gosaikunda trek are good in this month. You can also go on for the EBC, Phoksundo and manaang/ mustang treks.

Kathmandu, Chitwan and Lumbini will have warm weather although more “occasional” rain than the last month. The same goes for Pokhara and the other parts of the country but the rain in Pokhara will be more.  It is also good time for sightseeing and short trips.

The festival, Buddha Jayanti (birthday festival for Buddha) is held on the middle of the month. When the monasteries and stupas of the Kathmandu valley (Boudhnath stupa, Swoyambhu,Ashoka bihar etc.), Namo Buddha and Lumbini organizes special celebrations. Join the Rais in their Uvhauli festival and break some moves with them( also learn some of their traditional group dance and Maruni dance moves)

Kathmandu: temperature min- max—16c – 32c / Av. Rainfall 81mm

Pokhara: temperature min-max—19c to 32c / Av. Rainfall 352mm

Chitwan: temperature min-max—20c – 35c / Av. Rainfall 85mm
