March: Travel Nepal In March:

Spring starts from this month in Nepal. It also denotes the beginning of trekking season as snow starts to melts on the higher lands. From March the Rhododendrons forests starts to bloom along the hilly region and trekking trails. It is ideal to go on hiking around the Kathmandu valley through Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Chisapani and Daman. If you are coming to Nepal this month you can do the Poonhill, Helmbu and ABC trek

The weather is fairly warm and the climate is mixed with occasional shower in the afternoon.  Although compared to last two months March will have fewer showers in Kathmandu valley and Chitwan, Pokhara on the other hand will have more rain than January and February.

Along with the hiking, it is a good time to do jungle safari in the national parks of Nepal. The colorful festival so holi and the Ghode Jatra are the exciting festivals of this month.

Along with April and May it is the second best time to visit Nepal .
