Nepalese visa upon arrival
Tourism industry in Nepal is most taken care by government, as government have a policy to promote tourism in Nepal so it has liberal policy for the Nepal tourist visa.
Except travellers from these countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon,Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanisthan) can not receive visa upon arrival inNepal but rest of Nationals can get visa upon arrival.
Indian Nationals do not need visa to travel and work in Nepal but need to carry government issued valid identity card.
To collect visa upon arrival require following documents:
1. Original passport with the expiry date valid for six months 2. 2 copies of main page of your passport 3. 2 copies of Photo (PP seize) 4. Visa fee. (For 15 days, 30 days and 90 days USD$ (or equivalent of convertible currency) $25, $40, $90 respectively) You can extend your tourist visa for up to 150 days paying $2 per day.
Usually it takes only 5 to 10 minutes at the Kathmandu airport Immigration to get visa upon arrival, only it takes longer if number of flights landing at the same time is higher.
If you are making entry by land either by India or Tibet (China), you need to enter from thefollowing entry points and collect your Visa from the immegration office which are open 24 hours. Any entry from other than this entry points is not valid.
