Dakshinkali temple

The Dakshinkali temple is dedicated to the fiercest goddess Kali. She is the bloodthirsty incarnation of the Lord Shiva’s Sakti Parvati. Literally Dakshinkali means the Kali of the south.

This temple is located on 14 miles south of the Kathmandu valley. It is believed to be one of the most powerful shrines in the valley and believers visit this temple every Saturday and Tuesday with hopes to have their wishes granted.

It is also very famous tourist attraction as the followers of the Goddess sacrifice the uncastrated male goat, roosters, ducks etc. to satisfy the blood thirst of the goddess and have their wish granted
